Culture

If you are looking for genuine Norwegian Culture,
we might be able to help you.
We have contacts with folkmusicians, singers and dancers in
Hardanger, and we are proud to present them to you.
Just let us know what you have in mind, and we will do our
best to fullfill your wishes.

Ulvik Folklore

is a group of young dancers, singers and musicans who run their own
folklore perfomances at the Village Hall, Elvatun in Ulvik every Monday
throughout the summer, but they  travel to other villages in Hardanger
and Voss too, if required.
The group has existed for more than 10 years, and they have attended
festivals both in Norway and abroad.

Anna, Halldor & Alexander
are three of the most promising young folkmusicians and dancers in the
Hardanger area today. They offer a programme in which you will get to know
the traditions of folkmusic, song and dance from our region.
The programme is suitable as entertainment at conferences and gatherings,
as well as a special birthday present for someone.

Øydvinstod Culturtrail

In Øydinstod  do you find a culturetrail with information boads
which tells about the use of the fjord in past and present.

We have made a simple map of the area/trail and a pamflet with information
about the history and the use of the area which you may download here.

Guide walks can be arranged for groups, just as a walk or as a part
of a farmvisit including coffee/cakes in "Granny's tearoom".
